RESIDENTIAL AIDE

RESIDENTIAL CRISIS LOCATION-RICHMOND, VA 

VIRGINIA FAMILY SERVICES (VFS) is currently seeking professional Direct Support Staff for the position of Crisis Residential Aide to work in the Crisis Residential Services program. 

This position will provide support to assist the Individuals who need a safe environment while obtaining assessment, stabilization, and prevention of further escalation or decompensation in the Crisis Residential Program. 

Qualifications: Education and Experience

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Associate's Degree (preferred)
• One (1) year of relevant experience

VFS defines the relevant experience for this position as:

• Experience providing services in a community or facility setting providing direct support to Individuals in services

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (not inclusive):

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to complete required documentation within deadlines
• Knowledge of community resources 
• Ability to respond appropriately to aggressive behaviors with the least restrictive interventions
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• Proficient personal computer operations skills including Word, Excel
