Job Description
Brain Health Unit (BHU):
- Comprised of two 40-bed units.
- Staff members in the BHU are good communicators and can set boundaries, hold confidences, and establish and maintain trust.
- Patients in the BHU are admitted with medical and psychological diagnoses.
- The length of their stay is between 20-25 days, which provides an opportunity for clinical staff to analyze a patient's behavior and cultivate a relationship that may help a patient see him- or herself in a better way.
- GNAs will provide safe, age-appropriate patient care, assisting with activities of daily living while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Participates and sets up invasive procedures such as PICC line insertions assisting the licensed professional staff as the procedure is performed.
- Vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, ADLs, recording intake/output, specimen collection , assisting with ambulation, hoyer lift, wheelchairs
- BLS, AHA CPR, GNA
- Minimum experience 1 year, will accept first time traveler
- Every other weekend. Open to 36 or 48hr contracts
