Under direct supervision of physician or licensed practitioner will perform patient care in the clinic setting. The CMA/Nurse will perform specific tasks to assist members of the care team in providing patient care.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Responsible for facilitating smooth flow of patients through the clinic through interaction with patients, families, and staff
Assist in clinic with physical examination of patient and related treatments, including but not limited to patient history, medication records, allergies, and immunizations
Manage the patient medical record to ensure all data is accurate and complete
Obtain vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, O2 sat
Maintain patient safety
Set up rooms for procedures and assist provider as needed
Stock and supply exam rooms
Position is part-time working one day a week. Potential for PRN hours.
Requirements
Aptitudes Desired:
- Work in an environment with quick and urgent timelines and priorities
- Manage multiple assignments
- Maintain attention to detail and awareness of changing situations
- Strong communication skills and tolerance for active work environment
- Work well with all levels and types of people
Required:
- Current certification/licensure in the state of Iowa in good standing
- BLS. Mandatory Reporters Training
