Job Description:
Medical Assistant/ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)- Assists the medical provider in the care and treatment of patients. Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician. Certified Medical Assistant through AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing), NHA (National Health career Association) or AMT (American Medical Technologists). In lieu of certification, has completed the Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) through AAMA. One year of experience in a medical office preferred. Sign-on bonus eligible $3,000.00
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)- Assess patient health problems and needs and maintain medical records. May work under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assists the medical provider in the care and treatment of patients. May assist physician or physician assistant with patients. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensed Practical Nurse licensed in the State of Iowa. Health care experience within the last five years preferred. Clinical experience preferred. Sign-on bonus eligible $3,000.00
Registered Nurse (RN) - Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management. Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. May dictate discharge summaries as directed by supervising physician. Sign-on bonus eligible $5,000.00
