Clinical Supervisor / Program Manager
New Jersey License (LCSW)
Salary Range $73,000 - $76,000
This is a hybrid position and will require both in-person (at least two days) and remote work.
CancerCare’s Paramus, New Jersey, location seeks a full-time Clinical Supervisor/Program Manager to be responsible for delivering CancerCare’s free services to people whose lives are affected by cancer.
The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, one day, 11 am to 7 pm, and four days, 9 am to 5 pm.
Job responsibilities:
- Provides individual counseling (in-person, via Zoom and/or telephone), as well as support groups (in-person, via Zoom, telephone, and/or message board)
- Provides resource navigation via telephone to people with cancer and caregivers
- Provides immediate assistance and support to cancer patients, caregivers, and/or those who are bereaved by contacting CancerCare via a national toll-free Hopeline
- Provides weekly clinical supervision to LSWs
- Provides Emergency Phone coverage for walk-ins and crisis callers
- Participate in and/or lead clinical team meetings to discuss cases through group supervision activities
- Works closely with the Senior Director of Regional Programs in overseeing New Jersey programming, including but not limited to Magnolia Meals at Home, the Healing Hearts Bereavement Camp, and community work
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bilingual Spanish preferred; not required
- Master’s Degree in Social Work and New York LCSW credential are required
- Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in clinical and program coordination in a health, hospice, or mental health setting delivering intervention to clients coping with chronic and acute life-threatening illness as well as with the bereaved is required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical supervision is preferred
- Knowledge of medical and psychosocial aspects of cancer is preferred
- Strong collaborator and team player with the ability to work under pressure and handle complex clinical issues that may develop unexpectedly
- Highly skilled in working with clients who are experiencing stress and trauma in their lives as a result of coping with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and/or suicidality
- Well-versed in public speaking, both in-person and virtually
- Strong time management, excellent communication (both oral and written), highly organized with strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write quickly, clearly and compellingly
