Job Description
As the contracted Clinical Supervisor, you will provide supervision to a multi-disciplinary team providing comprehensive care for clients receiving mental health, case management, crisis intervention and empowerment services. The services that you will oversee are designed to empower individuals to live their best lives regardless of HIV status, sexual orientation, gender identity or diagnosis. The program that you will supervise focuses its services on people living with HIV/AIDS, the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.
This is an independent contractor position with an estimated need of 7-15 hours per week.
What your day will look like at Southwest Center:
- Provide weekly clinical supervision to Clinicians and Master Level interns.
- Reviewing and approving all client notes of Clinicians and Master Level interns.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Collaborating and consulting with other Southwest Center clinical and social services staff to help facilitate treatment and services.
- Ensuring appropriate clinical training required by licensing boards and funders.
- Ensuring that client records are managed to HIPAA standards.
- Ensuring that the National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) are met.
Who we're looking for:
- You have earned a graduate degree in behavioral health (e.g. social work, counseling or Psychology) with at least five years of clinical experience.
- You are licensed as a Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker by the State of Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners or Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
- You are registered on CAQH for credentialing with health plans.
- You are credentialed with Arizona Medicaid (AHCCCS).
- You have a full understanding of HIPAA and protecting client confidentiality.
- You have demonstrated cultural competency to professionally and respectfully serve the LGBTQIAS+ communities required.

- You are credentialed with Medicare and major commercial plans.
- You have a familiarity with eCW electronical health record system.
- This position supports individuals from the BIPOC community, living with HIV as well as individuals who identify as LGBTQ+. Lived experience and deep knowledge reflecting the communities served is preferred.
Environmental Factors, Physical Requirements, and Compliance
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- Office environment, exposure to computer screens for lengthy periods of time.
- The position requires extensive use of computers using a standard computer keyboard.
- This position may require evening and occasional weekend work.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand; use hands, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- This position may require the employee to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl.
- Currently have, or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment, a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Currently have, or are able to obtain within 7 days of employment, a clear TB test
- Currently have, or are able to obtain within 7 days of employment, a current flu vaccination
- Currently have, or are able to initiate within 7 days of employment, a COVID-19 primary vaccination series
- Currently have, or are able to initiate within 7 days of employment, a Hepatitis-B primary vaccination series
- Currently have, or are able to obtain within 14 days of employment, a CPR certification
