POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Supervisor provides individual and group supervision and evaluation to the agency's Case Manage Pilot Program (CMPP) staff at Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area in the District of Columbia (LSSNCA). Clinical Supervisor collaborates with other LSSNCA social work supervisors to identify staff learning needs and develop training to improve staff competencies.The Clinical Supervisor will also provide trauma-informed counseling services to a minimum number of individuals, families or groups receiving services within the CMPP program at LSSNCA. The CMPP program provides essential behavioral and psychosocial health services for vulnerable adults and families seeking asylum or other forms of humanitarian relief in the U.S. The ideal candidate will have extensive supervisory experience as well as culturally appropriate counseling experience working with asylum-seekers, refugees, immigrants, victims of human trafficking and/or victims of domestic violence. The candidate must have a commitment to the mission of LSSNCA, as well as to the diverse refugee and immigrant populations we have served for over 100 years in the National Capital Area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conduct individual and group supervision with CMPP program staff ~ weekly or bi-weekly.
Conduct regular clinical chart reviews for clients served by the CMPP program.
Support clinical training and skill building with Case Managers, Clinical Staff, and Program Coordinator within the CMPP.
Provide guidance with clinical interventions and facilitate case conferences when necessary.
Provide feedback to staff and supervisors regarding clinical performance.
Work as an integral part of the agency in strengthening clinical competencies.
Lead or participate on committees tasked with developing and carrying out organizational strategic initiatives.
Promote collaboration between clinical, administrative, and evaluation staff.
Promote communication between program staff, community resources, and participates to provide linkages to health care, basic needs, psychiatric and other service providers.
Ensure quality of program services per program policies and funding requirements.
Maintain supervision and evaluation records and prepare reports.
Collaborate in providing supervision for Social Work Interns and licensing requirements.
Conduct limited number of intakes, psychosocial assessments, and trauma inventories; determines acuity, strengths, and therapy needs for a minimum number of clients per week.
Assist in the collection, analysis and reporting of program data to demonstrate the progress or quality assessments.
Develop family-centered and culturally appropriate and responsive treatment plants to provide outpatient services including individual counseling, family counseling, group counseling and training using evidence-based and trauma-informed practices, to a minimum number of clients per week.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in social work with clinical licensure in VA (LCSW / LCSW-C / LICSW)
-EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in supervision and staff development
3+ years of relevant experience working with vulnerable or migrant populations
-PREFERRED SKILLS & HABILITIES
Master’s degree in social work with clinical licensures in the District of Columbia, Maryland and VA (LCSW / LCSW-C / LICSW)
Approved supervisor for Social Work Licensing
Ability to supervise a diverse staff.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to details.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills, including good communication and “active” listening skills; strong public speaking/presentation skills.
Ability to promote professional growth for program staff.
Strong analytical and data management skills, including proficiency in the use of data collection tools, electronic medical record databases and Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of community resources and services systems.
Skilled in providing individual, family and group therapy.
Knowledge and experience in trauma-informed practices.
Ability to operate and manage within a culturally diverse workplace
Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken) a plus
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
DC/MD/VA CPS clearance
DC/MD/VA and FBI Criminal History clearances
Successful completion of Physical, TB Test and drug screening
Valid driver's license, insurance and clean driving record
A personal vehicle or access to a vehicle is a plus
Must be a U.S. citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident
