The primary purpose of the Clinical Research Training Specialist position is to design and implement Research Training programs which in turn will assure the integrity of research data, secure compliance with institutional policy and procedures, and secure compliance with Federal Regulations and Good Clinical Practice Guidelines related to clinical Research.
KEY FUNCTIONS
Designs and implements educational programs for institutional research staff to include online modules and courses.
Develops course materials and teaches Clinical Research Training programs and updated Human Subject Protection training. Educates research staff on established policies, processes, procedures, regulations and guidelines.
Collaborates on administering post audit/inspection research education to research teams.
Serves as a resource for departments when interpreting the Code of Federal Regulations, Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice, and institutional policies to optimize protocol management and secure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
EDUCATION
Required:
Bachelor degree in healthcare admin, nursing or related field
Preferred:
Master's degree
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Four years of research experience, to include at three years of Clinical Research experience.
Preferred:
Four years of experience with oncology trials, clinical trial conduct and coordination.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Preferred:
Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN), Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP).
