Currently, autism support via Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is difficult to access and the delivery model must be expanded to provide earlier access to families.

Forta is not only providing ABA services to our clients, but we’re also improving the future of the ABA experience for families by creating software and predictive algorithms that elevate clinicians to work smarter by surfacing the latest and most relevant case data. We are working diligently to continuously improve the patient journey and deliver personalized care by applying smart technology and investing in the growth of our world-class team.

Location: Fully Remote
Schedule: Monday to Friday

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: The Forta Health Diagnostic program is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our team. Candidates must feel comfortable working with children. Candidates can make their own schedule. Candidate responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, and psychological testing with a focus on Autism diagnoses. Services are primarily provided virtually, with an occasional in-person assessment (depends on client's needs).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnoses or evaluates mental and emotional disorders of individuals.
  • Interviews clients in clinical offices or other settings and studies medical and social case histories.
  • Observes clients in various situations; selects, administers, and interprets intelligence, personality, or other psychological tests to diagnose disorders and formulate plans of treatment, and provides consultation to other mental health professionals with regard to test results.
  • Provides mental health care to clients that meets evidence-based practice standards, provides consultation to inpatient mental health clients upon request and determines medical necessity and appropriate treatment.
  • Upon organizational credentialing guidelines, performs psychometric testing.
  • Shows competence in providing medically necessary testing based on the referral questions/diagnosis or symptoms.
  • Documents comprehensive first evaluation inclusive of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, documents comprehensive progress note as applicable, ensures utilization management of patient care, completes clinician portions of other documents, completes closure of record after episode of care, demonstrates effective, necessary, and sufficient treatment were provided.
  • Identifies appropriate procedure charge for service provided, reviews and acknowledges patient insurance information and provides internal/external education upon request.
  • Completes documentation of visits standards of Medical Staff by-laws.
  • Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, clinician meetings, and workshops to enhance professional development and maintain currency of methodology and techniques.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 Years of Clinical Experience
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant current special education methodologies and techniques.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms and reactions during clinical interviews.
  • Ability to effectively communicate medical information, test results, diagnoses and/or proposed treatment in a manner easily understood by the client.
  • Interviewing and psychological/developmental evaluation skills.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Ability to assess mental status in clients and to develop individual treatment goals.
  • Knowledge of psychological test administration, scoring, and interpretation.
  • Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses.
  • Skill in preparing reports and maintaining patient records.
  • Valid Driver's License (Required)
  • Must pass background checks
  • Liability Insurance (Preferred)

LICENSURE:

  • Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or a PsyD)
  • RequiredLicensed by the Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia, or Wyoming Board of Examiners
  • E. Passport to The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) preferred, or will start PSYPACT upon hire
