The Clinical Project Specialist is responsible for assisting the Vice President of Clinical Operations in planning, developing, managing, and implementing program-specific special projects. This includes gathering requirements for the special project through direct interface with members of various departments, clients, and administration. Assist in specification and analysis for proposed special projects. Works closely with department management to plan, perform, and maintain special projects. Track project progress and outcomes of special projects. Provides oral and written presentations as requested to share special projects with other departments and external entities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Manage program-specific special projects.
- Coordinates the activities of personnel involved in the department and implementation of special projects.
- Assist and work with leadership in regards to departmental priorities and objectives.
- Performs departmental and program specific audits and analysis related to records review and clinical practices
- Manages audit reprots and CAP responses
- Conducts complex studies and prepares reports.
- Represents the department on committees and task force as assigned.
- Prepares and presents presentations to internal stakeholders.
- Communicates appropriately and clearly to management, co-workers, and physicians.
- Consults other departments as appropriate to ensure utility of an interdisciplinary approach to special projects.
- Participates in the efficient, effective, and responsible use of resources such as supplies and equipment.
- Clerical work, as needed, including: streamline/process paperwork, create forms, tracking systems, letters, and documents.
- Maintenance of ongoing projects including watching timelines, verifying completion of assigned tasks by responsible parties, facilitating communication between team members
- Maintains all reference material that is provided by the Supervisor, Director and Vice President.
- Support projects led by Clinical Project Manager
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $ 22/hour to $26/hourhowever, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in public or information management.
- 2 years of experience in related area. Knowledge of Healthcare and Managed Care preferred.
- Typing 60 words per minutes with accuracy.
- Knowledge of computers, faxes, printers and all other equipment.
- Proficient in MS Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Visio, and Power Point).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to work in a multi-task, high stress environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
