Job description

Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center combines the convenience of a full range of hospital and wellness services, more than 1000 affiliated doctors in nearly 100 clinical specialties, award winning clinical excellence and membership in Johns Hopkins Medicine, one of the country's premier academic medical systems.
The Clinical Pharmacist II (Internal Medicine/ Critical Care Pharmacist) is responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services, pharmaceutical care, and medication verification and distribution programs in the areas of Internal Medicine and Critical Care. The pharmacist will also be expected to rotate through other coverage areas such as antimicrobial stewardship and the central pharmacy. The job duties affect direct patient care through pharmacy dose protocols, code coverage, and participation in multi-disciplinary rounds. Participation in multi-disciplinary committees is also encouraged.

Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience.; OR a Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required.
    • Active membership in the Maryland Society of Hospital Pharmacists and the American Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
    • Post graduate residency training is strongly preferred
    • Board Certification in a Pharmacy Specialty is also preferred.
    • Pharmacy residency training (or 3 years of hospital experience) is preferred.
    • Registered or eligible to be registered in the State of Maryland as a Pharmacist.
