Schedule Details: Day Shift with variable start times: 0730, 0800, 0830"On-call" requirements every tenth weekend and 1 weekday every other week.
What You Will Do:
The Cath Lab Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. They must ensure open and effective communication with patients, family/caregivers and all health care team members involved in the pre/intra/post-care of cardiac catheterization patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pre/intra/post procedural nursing care (assessment, monitoring, intervention, and education) related to diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Transporting patients to/from Cath Lab holding and/or inpatient unit.
- Administration of intravenous and oral medications to patients.
- Management of patients receiving procedural medications.
- Proficient in the use of the Witt Hemodynamic Monitoring System and EPIC medical record charting.
- Actively monitors patients during adult catheterization procedures.
- Participates in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and CPR as needed.
- Operation Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Impella and IVUS
What You Will Need:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Wisconsin Registered Nurse License
- Valid American Heart (AHA) BLS and ACLS or ability to obtain at time of hire
- 1-2 years critical care nursing or Cath Lab experience preferred
