JOB TITLE: Clinical Education Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: CES
LOCATION: Buffalo, NY
FLSA: Non-Exempt
$18-25/hr. starting pay, based on years of experience!
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the CES Specialist, the Clinical Education Coordinator assists with the Clinical Education Services Department activities and initiatives for the operation. Responsible for assisting with the creation, implementation, and tracking of education programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in recruitment through involvement in area EMS classes and career days
- Assists in the operation of local orientation programs and continuing education system
- Assists in preparation and completion of orientation classes and ACLS/PALS instructor certification courses. Responsible for tracking and maintenance of employee certifications and vaccinations in a database
- Acts as the Training Center Coordinator for the AHA
- Assists in completion of all AHA course paperwork and schedules instructors as needed
- Prints AHA certification cards and input information for e Cards (when applicable)
- Completes and submits NYS provider recertification submissions
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures
- Adheres to and complies with all information systems policies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Licensing/Certification:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current State Certification as an EMT-B required
- Driving record that passes AMR’s National Safety policy requirements
- Must obtain AHA BLS Instructor Certification within six months of appointment
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the direct delivery of pre-hospital basic life support as an EMT-Basic
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
