DESCRIPTION:
The Nassau BOCES Department of RSIP is seeking a Program Coordinator to assist in running the Adult Education program within a Career and Technical Education (CTE) setting. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and supervise the Adult Employment Center team.
- Liaise, collaborate, and work with a variety of adult learners, teachers, community members, employers and various Nassau County Departments.
- Lead programs and staff for students who are associated with New York State Education Department - Adult Career and Continuing Services - Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR).
- Act as the lead for data analysis, grant oversight and reporting, instructional leadership, and school operations.
- Create and manage budgets for the Adult Employment Center.
- Represent Nassau BOCES and RSIP at various events while taking the lead in building new initiatives for Nassau BOCES.
REQUIREMENTS:
- New York State Education Department Certification: School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) as well as School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA).
- Experience with secondary CTE.
- Budgetary and grant development and oversight is preferred.
- Experience with student information systems and ACCES-VR.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
SALARY: As per labor contract.
