Clinical Director
One (1)/Full-Time/Salaried/Exempt/$104,977.60 annually
**Bonus to be paid out as follows: $2,000.00 issued upon hire and $2,000.00 at 6-month completion**
Pay differentials offered - must qualify through testing or verification for the following special competencies.
*Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish ($1.00 per hour)
*Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language - Interpret from American Sign Language (ASL) to English, and English to ASL. ($1.00 per hour)
We are looking for a Clinical Director to organize and lead programs and staff of our clinical departments. You will be responsible for supervising and directing the training and service delivery aspects of clinical programs, including mental health and substance use services for children and adults. As Clinical Director you must possess excellent management and mentoring skills. You must be an outstanding communicator able to resolve conflicts and issues. The goal is to ensure the smooth running of the clinical department aiming to maximize performance and client outcomes. Summary:
The Clinical Director is responsible for implementing the operation and administration of the practices and policies of Redwood Community Services Inc. (RCS) programs as established by the CEO and Board of Directors. The Clinical Director will provide leadership, training, and oversight of direct service programs throughout RCS. This will include planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, and reviewing the work of assigned professional, clinical, residential and administrative staff. The Clinical Director is responsible for the operation of all areas of RCS in the absence of the Chief Clinical Officer.
Responsibilities Include:
- Responsibility of contract management and execution
- Planning and overseeing all client care or administrative operations and programs that are integrated with clinical services
- Recruit employees to ensure department is staffed with qualified personnel
- Assign cases
- Coordinate and supervise staff
- Provide personnel with clinical training and opportunities for continuous professional development
- Evaluate performance and discipline employees when necessary
- Monitor compliance to legal guidelines, internal policies and quality standards
Requirements:
- Experience as Clinical Director or other managerial position
- Qualifies as a Clinical Supervisor under the Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Must be a team player
- Solid understanding of budgeting, resourcing and performance evaluation procedures
- Excellent knowledge of California standards and regulations for mental health and substance use
- Proficient in MS Office 365 and computer systems, electronic health records (Exym)
- Preferred Excellent verbal and written communication and people skills
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts
Qualifications:

- Experience with EPSDT Medi-Cal Experience with Drug Medi-Cal Experience with Managed Care Plans Experience with quality improvement activities
- Experience with integrated programs with behavioral health services (Foster Family Agency, children and adult residential) Behavioral Health background required with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a clinical, supervisory and/or administrative role in an inpatient and/or outpatient mental health setting
Education and Experience:
- California licensed LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC, or Licensed Psychologist two years minimum clinical experience in mental health environment
- Meets the State of California requirements to provide clinical supervision to licensed therapists/post master interns
- Experience providing clinical supervision to licensed therapists, interns, and trainees meeting the requirements of the State of California
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CA Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance ($100,000/$300,000 Liability Insurance Required) Clean DMV Printout (no more than 3 points on your record). Must be willing to travel to ALL RCS sites and as required for position. (with reimbursed mileage @ Federal reimbursement rate). Clear background check w/ DOJ, CACI, FBI, CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Test and Physical at the time of employment.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require an occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client.
