Steward HealthCare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietitian to join our team. As a Dietitian, you will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve their nutritional goals and improve their overall health. You will work closely with patients to assess their dietary needs, develop personalized meal plans, and provide ongoing support and guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs and develop individualized meal plans
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients on topics such as healthy eating habits, weight management, and disease prevention
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to meal plans based on changes in health status or treatment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care
- Utilize diagnostic evaluations to identify nutritional deficiencies or imbalances and develop appropriate interventions
- Guide tube feeding protocols and monitor patients receiving enteral nutrition support
- Conduct group education sessions on various nutrition-related topics
- Serve as a health coach, motivating patients to make positive lifestyle changes
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and the impact of nutrition on overall health
- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments, including anthropometric measurements, dietary analysis, and medical history review
- Familiarity with various therapeutic diets and their applications
- Ability to effectively communicate complex nutrition information to patients of diverse backgrounds
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with patients
- Strong problem-solving skills to address individual patient needs and challenges
- Detail-oriented approach to accurately document patient information and progress
