A Warehouse Attendant -Yard Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a StallionRents warehouse and storage yard. Their duties include, but are not limited to loading and unloading trucks, cleaning and preparing units for future rentals, truck cleaning and re-stocking, and general labor as specified by management.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of a Yard Laborer are all geared toward maintaining a clean, safe and efficient warehouse and storage yard while also supporting the overall work requirements of the business. The list of duties and responsibilities for a Yard Laborer on any given day may include the following:
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- General truck cleaning and re-stocking.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies and adjust errors as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Operating and tending trucks, trailers, and forklift.
- Following instructions from supervisors and implementing work plans.
- Assisting Service Technicians and P&D Drivers in their duties.
- Creates and contributes to a safe work environment and proactively identifies and corrects potential hazards
- Pickup and delivery of inventory for jobs occasionally.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Skilled use of hand and powered tools: drills, saws, nail guns, forklift etc. Stallion provides all tools
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Knowledge of plumbing
- Attentive to detail
- Capable of working with minimal oversight, but willing to follow directions closely
- Able to align with and support Stallion's Mission and Values
Education or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in warehousing and/or labor preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Applicants must possess a valid Driver's License
- A motor vehicle record that meets fleet insurance requirements
