POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for patient flow, clinical support functions including telephone triage. Performs duties as delegated within the scope of education and validated competencies, including recognized Ambulatory nursing protocols and procedures as approved and delegated by physician leadership. Performs clerical functions as needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
1. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with the subsequent certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants or licensed practical nurse or registered nurse or the equivalent combination of education and employment experience.
2. BLS certification within first six months of employment.
3. Minimum of three years experience directly related to clinical work in a physician office.
4. Well developed communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives.
5. Basic typing and filing skills required. Familiarity with computers and work processing programs. Able to complete data entry and retrieve patient information from an electronic patient file.
6. Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of Mercy General Health Partners.
7. Ability to interact with va4rious individuals with diverse backgrounds.
8. Demonstrate a customer service orientation with patients and family members.
9. Actively support the mission of MGHP. Demonstrate support for Value Based Principles of Operation through performance of duties.
10.Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team member. 11.Ability to work independently.
Mon-Fri hours during the 8a-5p timeframe. No weekends or holidays
