Form of work- JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Assists practitioner in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records and relaying test results. Performs delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a physician or mid-level practitioner.
- DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
- The Kidney Specialists teams at Samaritan Health Services focus on creating a partnership with patients, the primary care provider and the kidney specialist. We provide consultation and treatment of chronic kidney disease at an outpatient clinic.
- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Current unencumbered Oregon Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic licensure required.
- Healthcare Provider BLS required.
- Experience or training in medical terminology preferred.
- Lab/EKG experience preferred.
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred.

Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
