CLIFTON SPRINGS FRONT DESK - MEDICAL ASSISTANT

The DeKalb Community Service Board has an exciting opportunity for a Front Desk Medical Assistant at our Clifton Springs location- 3110 Clifton Springs Rd., Decatur, GA 30034. The Front Desk Medical Assistant serves as the first level of contact for the client experience ensuring exceptional customer service delivery.
HOURS:
Mon- Fri 8:00am- 5:00pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, the Program Assistant will perform a variety of general clerical duties in support of the daily functions of the program including, but not limited to:

- Greeting clients and guests upon arrival
- Check In
- Check Out
- Insurance Verification
- Scheduling
- Appointment Reconciliation
- Verifies Authorizations and Treatment Plans
- Answering multi-line phones and responding to requests immediately
- Protecting patients' rights through strong adherence of HIPPA regulations
- Excellence in communication skills, both verbal and written
MNIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Professional front office etiquette
- Pleasant demeanor
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication Skills
- Organization skills
- Data entry skills
- Minimum of two years of FRONT DESK experience in a medical office or hospital setting
- Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Proficiency in computer program applications and basic office equipment
- Strong data entry skills with the ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience working in a mental health environment
- Completion of a Medical Administrative Assistant program
- Experience with AVATAR electronic medical record software
