Clerical Support Clerk - Wildland Fires / Emergency Services

North Tree Enterprises, Inc. is preparing for the upcoming fire season and looking for individuals to work on a Seasonal/Call-When-Needed basis in our Incident Management Support (IMS) Units performing clerical duties in service of the planning and administration groups on large and/or complex fires/incidents. Clerks operate as a member of a 3–6-person team and under the direction of the Clerical Support Supervisor. The team operates a mobile copy center complete with office equipment such as computers, copiers, plotters, fax machines, and laminators supporting large scale emergency response teams on-location through-out California (CAL Fire) and the United States (U.S. Forest Service). The ability to work independently, follow procedure, prioritize and problem solve are essential for this position along with first rate customer service skills.

Requirements:

• 18 yrs. and older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with operating standard office machines, copiers, fax, printers, computers
• Intermediate -- Advanced experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Acrobat Pro
• Eye and drive to create the highest quality desktop publishing work products (signs, flyers, booklets, etc.)
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (or longer)
• Ability to work day, night or swing shift
• Ability to work away from home
• Ability to work (and problem solve) under stress/stressful situations
• Ability to follow operational procedure and identify improvements as necessary
• Ability to provide excellent Customer Service
• Ability to work in inclement weather
• Willingness to 'Camp Out' when in remote locations and hotel lodging is not available/feasible
