Cyber Test Engineer
Contractor or Contract to Hire.
Job Description: Describe job and include job duties with any special requirements:
Cyber Test Engineers for the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) program. In this role, you will work with an amazing team of talented system and software engineers who are leading the industry in satellite ground system solutions. These programs provide development, integration, operations and sustainment for next generation, cutting-edge satellite ground software. Cyber Test Engineers are responsible for verifying the proper operation and reliability of software and reporting any deficiencies, limitations, and risks. Many of our projects are undertaken by small teams in close coordination with customers and follow Agile/SCRUM methodologies. Therefore, testing is a continuous process that often occurs in parallel with development. Competitive candidates have strong attention to detail, enjoy finding bugs, and are mission focused. Cyber Test Engineers must have a clear understanding of all test related requirements, interfaces, and test results, and will track and gather artifacts and analyze results. Cyber Test Engineers also participate in daily program scrum meetings and provide status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks. Work will be performed onsite in Aurora, CO and at customer sites in Aurora and Boulder, CO.
Your responsibilities may include any or all the following:
Design, write, review, and execute test plans, procedures, reports, and other technical documentation
write, track, review, and verify resolution of defects (using JIRA, Mantis, etc.)
Effectively communicate testing status to technical leads, software developers, program managers, and customers
Support defining external and internal interfaces
Managing and maintaining assigned documents in accordance with established systems engineering and configuration management procedures
Generation and Execution of Test Procedures
Providing clarification of requirements to the software development team
Supporting the SEIT team in preparation and conduct of program reviews (e.g., FQT)
Additional Job Details:
Required Skills: Strong understanding of Jira and Confluence Experience supporting system integration and test events of a software-based system Understanding of the testing architecture/framework Experience in the verification/validation of system requirements Understand of integration and test procedures and plans Experience with Agile and DevOps Continuous Integration and Delivery of Software Applications Experience with automated test and test-driven development concepts and tools Ability to design, write, debug, and execute automated test scripts (e.g., using Python, Perl, Bash, and/or Batch) Solid understanding of networking (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL)Linux and/or Windows system administration Experience using virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware) Experience using network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump) Ability to review schedules and pull together integrated plans showing dependencies and linkages Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with all levels of program, customers, and technical leads (IPTs, chief engineers, architects) Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools Experience working in cross discipline teams and interact effectively with to complete product team objectives Existing DoD Secret clearance, DoD TS/SCI is preferred
Desired Skills: Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract Understanding of configuration management Experience in SE process development and deployment Experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using DOORS, Enterprise Architect and JIRA or similar tools
Preferred Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree is required. STEM degree is preferred. Along with 8+ years of relevant experience - OR Master's Degree STEM preferred with 6+ years of relevant experience
