Position Title: Claims Examiner - Workers Compensation (REMOTE)
Location: Long Beach, CA 90806
Expected Duration: 6+ months.
Expected Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $47.00 - $49.00/hr on W2
Primary purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Workers' Compensation Claims Analyst to join our team and oversee the analysis of intricate workers' compensation claims. The primary responsibility involves evaluating complex or technically challenging claims to ascertain entitled benefits. The role requires adeptness in handling high-exposure claims entangled in litigation and rehabilitation processes.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze intricate workers' compensation claims to accurately determine owed benefits.
- Manage claims involving high exposure, navigating through legal proceedings and rehabilitation facets.
- Ensure consistent adjudication of claims within established service benchmarks, adhering to industry best practices and meeting specific client service requirements.
- Identify potential subrogation of claims and adeptly negotiate settlements when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of California workers' compensation claims experience is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of California workers' compensation claims procedures is essential.
- Possession of the OSIP (Office of Self-Insurance Plans) certificate is a prerequisite.
- Demonstrated proficiency with workers' compensation claims management, ideally with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to handle complex claims efficiently.
