Student Summer Externship - Claims Examiner Processing

KHS reasonably expects to pay starting compensation for the position of Claims Examiner ProcessingStudent Summer Extern at $19.00 hourly.

Extern Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, responsible extern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn how to pay a few different types of medical claims. You will also learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. You will focus on learning how our organization runs and can be expected to gain valuable insight that can further their interest in your chosen career field. In addition to office duties, the extern will have the opportunity to meet managers and executives.
Extern Duties and Responsibilities

• Learn the use of the QNXT Claims Payment System.
• Learn what is a Medical Claim and the coding/formatting.
• Utilizing tools, process certain types of Medical Claims
• Learn to be a team player and be able to work independently.

Extern requirements and qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in high school, college, or university.
• Must be minimum 16 years of age.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Be available for the entire summer break, flexible hours, Monday - Friday (with the exception of planned vacation or needed days off to be discussed with department).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
