Job Description
- Lead the design and planning efforts for general Civil Projects, encompassing site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities.
- Exercise judgment in evaluating, selecting, and modifying standard engineering techniques and procedures to ensure high-quality project delivery.
- Make crucial decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as required.
- Function as a Project Manager on various projects, with a focus on collaborative teamwork and efficient project execution.
- Supervise a small team of professionals and technicians when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the success of the engineering team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field of study (Consideration given to civil engineers with 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree requirement).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in general civil engineering and engineering project management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas or Pennsylvania.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications related to Civil Engineering, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Expertise in STORM WATER and SEWAGE design using Sewerage-Cad, Storm-Cad, Standard form 6, W.S.P.G, SWMM, and ARCGIS.
- Experience in Detention Basin (Pond Routing) design using Pondpack and HEC-HMS.
- Proficiency in hydraulic/hydrologic analysis using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, Water-Cad, TR-55, and Geopack.
- Experience in Road Drainage using Flow-Master, CulvertMaster, and HY-8.
- Professional Engineer (PE) – Civil (Water Resources and Environmental) with multiple state registrations.
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) – Texas.
- Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP).
