Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Land Development team in our Fort Worth, TX office. The Civil Engineering Intern will help with Public Works projects and will assist in the planning and design of land and site development projects, working as part of a design team under the direct supervision of a PE. Civil Engineering Intern – Land Development Responsibilities:
- Design Civil Engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Public Works projects
- Perform drafting CAD work
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
Civil Engineering Intern – Land Development Requirements:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree
- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
- Experience with Civil 3D is a plus
- Great communication skills
- Solid relationship and team building skills
- Self-motivated and strong organization skills
Interns are paid hourly and work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday through Friday.
