You Have:
- The desire to learn new roles and grow with the company.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of industrial or manufacturing experience.
- The ability to work a 12-hour rotating Dupont schedule, days, nights, and two weekends a month.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math skills, problem-solving, ability to multi-task.
Your Purpose:
You will facilitate and manage the flow and identification of material from the melt shop to the rolling mill finishing department and complete a range of duties.
Your Work:
- Involves simple to moderately complex duties, somewhat repetitive, requiring considerable care in accuracy, alertness, and safety.
- Performs a variety of data entry, counting, calculating and posting of billets cast and placed in BILLET YARD
- Requires identifying quality issues with billets and communicating to appropriate personnel
- Requires physically inspecting billets
- Prepares billets for shipment and writes applicable heat number on each billet
- Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, and/ or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Follow all safety regulations and practices.
