Reddick Public Library District is seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual with strong customer service skills to join its Circulation Department!
1 PART-TIME CIRCULATION ASSISTANT, 14-18 HOURS/WEEK.
Hours include days, 1-2 evening/week & 1-2 weekends/month.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Checking materials in and out.
- Placing holds for reserves and interlibrary loans.
- Assisting patrons with basic information regarding library materials, equipment, and services.
- Providing basic reference and reader’s advisory service.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure quality service to patrons and efficient operation of the library.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to respond to customer inquiries effectively in a pleasant and courteous manner, both in person and on the phone.
- Ability to independently use a computer and office software.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to bend,lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
