General Secretarial work for the church office, including but not limited to:
- Checking mail and e-mail and answering phone
- Typing pertaining to the church and pastor any other authorized organization of the church- bulletins & inserts, reports, letters and minutes for meetings
- Recording weekly attendance, congregational weekly giving
- Banking and purchasing of office supplies and other supplies as needed
- Organizes the church calendar and scheduling of the Family Life Center events and dates
- Keeping church membership and baptism records up to date
- Responsible for year end reports, financial reports and required annual reports for the Global Methodist Conference
- Other office and secretarial duties as required
Must have some knowledge working with Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher along with general computer skills. You will need to be able to learn QuickBooks program which is utilized for the church's financial record keeping.
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills are a must.
Typical hours are Monday through Thursday from 9am-1pm, some evening hours may be required for Church Council meetings.
