Responsibilities:
- Supervises the Child Watch programs for assigned locations in coordination with the Childcare Program Assistant
- Point of contact for Child Watch staff via telephone and group communication platforms
- Trains new Child Watch employees. Ensures Child Watch staff follow policies and procedures. Reports staff infractions to supervisor.
- Assists staff with finding coverage as needed. Substitutes for departmental absences if unable to arrange coverage
- Maintains communication with parents in order to be familiar with children and their various needs to provide quality service.
- Supervises children and all activities. Interacts with children in safe and appropriate relationships
- Designs and implements activities within the established guidelines
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and staff trainings. Assists Childcare Program Assistant with points of discussion for team meetings .
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting.
- At least 18 years of age
- Provide clear clearances: Child Abuse, State Police FBI Fingerprint and NSOR.
- CPR, First Aid and AED certifications within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
