Pay Class: Part Time
Shifts Available: Flexible hours
Starting Rate: $13.00-$13.50
About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.
Position Purpose: The West Chester Community YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic Child Watch Associate to provide a safe and caring environment for children while in YMCA care. This position will focus on hosting birthday parties.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of our Child Watch area
- Provide a safe, interactive, fun and caring environment for children in YMCA care
- Oversee the safety and whereabouts of the children at all times
- Maintain a clean and risk-free room arrangement
- Maintain records, including, but not limited to: accident and incident reports, sign in/out sheets
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 15 years of age or older
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Enjoys working with children and prior experience working with children, preferred
- Must have ability to interact positively with children and communicate professionally with parents
