Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Supervise and engage children in play and learning activities
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare space
-Monitor children behavior
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain proper hygiene practices
Skills:
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle challenging behaviors
- Classroom management abilities to create a structured and organized learning environment
- Experience working in a daycare or similar childcare setting
- Knowledge of toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and naptime routines
- Ability to educate and engage children through age-appropriate activities
- Experience with infant care, including feeding, soothing, and diapering
- Previous babysitting or childcare experience preferred
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum and early childhood development principles
- First aid certification is a plus
- Knowledge of special education practices is an asset
