Kiddie Academy of Harrisburg, PA has an exciting leadership opportunity for an energetic, organized and inspiring professional to join us as our Center Director. This position allows you to lead a team of qualified teachers and administrative staff in providing the best learning and development experience for children and their families. Our academy provides care and excellent learning programs for kids starting from 6 weeks to 12 years of age (including before and after school care). As the Center Director, you will be key to delivering this mission. We would like you to join our team as soon as possible to lead the management of day-to-day operations, implement our patented Life Essentials curriculum and help us build a positive and nurturing Academy culture for the staff and children in our care.

Position Overview: 
As Center Director, you will be responsible for effectively operating and managing all aspects of a Child Care facility, including enrollment building, family retention, human resources, marketing and quality assurance.

You will be a leader and mentor who trains and develops the teaching staff to provide creative, age-appropriate programs to all children by effectively implementing our Life Essentials curriculum. Actively developing and maintaining positive customer/community relations. Maintaining high-capacity utilization and managing all resources effectively and within budget. Establishing strong working relationships with state licensing authorities.

Essential Functions

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the center.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure quality care and a positive Academy culture.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on staff, children, and program activities.
• Ensure compliance with DHS licensing regulations.
• Mentor staff on implementation of Life Essentials curriculum and lesson planning.
• Ensure compliance with National and PA accreditations.
• Plan and actively participate in Academy marketing and community activities.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all state licensing authorities, approved vendors, and community contacts.
• Develop and actively maintain positive relationships and communication with families

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or area of Child Development.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in management position in a Child Care Center, including 1 year in a Director or Assistant Director role.
• Candidates should have all credentials required for the position of a Center Director
