Job Description
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to approach the organization creatively in project development and manage day-to-day operations and staff. The COO will lead the team to be efficient, productive, and communicative by building an all-inclusive culture for a 24-hour residential Non-for-Profit community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Collaborate with the CEO in setting and delivering organizational vision and operations strategy.
· Responsible for implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning and budget.
· Oversee organization and employee productivity.
· Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, developing, and retention of team members.
· Able to analyze current operations and identify areas for process improvement.
· Oversee payroll and resident billing processes.
· Demonstrate a willingness to take on new tasks.
· Build and maintain trusting relationships with residents, their families, and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills, and Abilities)
· Five to seven years of proven experience in leadership roles.
· Excellent communication skills and demonstrated strategic leadership ability.
· Non-profit experience preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in business, health care, education, intellectual and developmental disability community, or related field.
Other Qualifications
· Valid driver’s license.
· Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
