Overview:
UnityPoint Clinic offers primary and specialty care services for every stage of your life. Our 370 clinic locations can be found in Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois providing comprehensive, high-quality care and services in the following areas: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/Gynecology, Pediatrics and Specialty Care.

Responsible for the operational effectiveness and financial performance of UnityPoint Clinic to ensure outstanding patient care to the communities we serve. Plan, organize, and enhance internal operations to effectively support the organization's immediate and long-range objectives. Emphasis is placed on financial monitoring, operational excellence, employee engagement and patient experience. Develop strategies and initiatives for UnityPoint Clinic’s medical practices, which includes both outpatient and inpatient employed physicians, advanced practitioners, and team members. Position also provides executive leadership to UnityPoint at Work and UnityPoint’s PACE program.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage and empower our workforce to embrace change and assist our organization in achieving its care transformation strategies.
  • Communicate simple and effective messages to our employees in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Establish a disciplined framework of goals, expectations, measurement that will drive and reward behavior that supports the overall goals of the organization and system.
  • Guide and implement best practices for operational performance with a focus on quality, patient experience, care coordination and efficiency.
  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate operational reports to inform Market Leadership Teams, Senior Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  • Develop and mentor operational leaders enhancing the management and leadership team.
  • Provide strategic input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting UnityPoint Clinic, including hospital-based clinics, e.g. evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers.
  • Motivate the organization as a whole to seek higher levels of success, quality and patient experience.
  • Build credible and trusting relationships with the Board of Directors, Market Leadership, Physicians and Employees.
  • Be visible in all markets UnityPoint Clinic serves.
  • Along with other senior team members, provide the necessary leadership to meet and maintain the organization’s financial performance expectations.
  • Create a culture of innovation, teamwork, learning and professional practice consistent with the vision, mission and values of the organization.
  • Participate in community activities that promote and enhance our organization
Qualifications:
  • MBA/MHA or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of experience in leading and directing all aspects of physician practices.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a senior executive in a health care organization
  • Strong financial, strategic planning and business development experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Clinical Process Improvement
  • Regulatory and compliance experience
