Global Chief Marketing Officer
Media.com is seeking a Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) based in New York. We have begun rolling out Media.com's global network to empower users with feature-rich, verified profiles.
You will work closely with the founder to recruit, train and manage an in-house team of marketing professionals tasked with scaling up Media.com to reach millions of users.
You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of Media.com's marketing and advertising initiatives.
Initially the role will require hands-on strategy, newsletters, event coordination, public relations coordination and more as the business begins to scale. This is an opportunity to get involved on the ground floor with a business that already has preregistered users from 130+ countries.
The role is ideally suited to someone who has previously held a senior role at a social network, software or internet-based business and enjoys a fast-paced, growth environment.
The role
The key duties include:
- Develop and manage the company's launch strategy
- Prepare regular communications to early subscribers
- Coordinate event and media opportunities
- Participate in shaping Media.com platform features to address market needs
- Recruit, train and manage Media.com's in-house marketing team
- Develop promotional campaigns
- Liaise with public relations suppliers
- Attend networking events to create brand awareness
Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and capabilities:
- 10+ years experience in senior marketing roles (e.g. CMO, Marketing Director or similar)
- Strong leadership and management capabilities
- Well organized, diligent and outcomes-driven
- Strong experience with social networks
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- A hunger to drive growth
- An ability to learn and adapt
Remuneration
Negotiable. Potential to increase as the business grows.
Work arrangements
Full time office-based (Manhattan) or hybrid available.
