Overview -
Kings Harbor Multicare Center (720 Beds ) and Ocean Gardens Nursing Facility (280 Beds) is Looking for a Dynamic Chief INFORMATION OFFICER to lead the M.I.S Team.
POSITION SUMMARY: -Plans, organizes, develops, coordinates and directs the M.I.S. Department and its Programs and activities in accordance with current Federal, State and Local guidelines and regulations, accepted standards of practice and as may be directed by Administration.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
§ Directly supervises assigned staff which includes but is not limited to, participating in orientation, manage staff performance in relation to the position’s standards, and monitor time and attendance.
§ Exercises good independent judgment and discretion in effectively managing assigned staff by, but not limited to, conducting performance appraisals, corrective disciplinary action and other supervisory interventions which may affect a change in the assigned staff’s status of employment.
§ Analyze and evaluate MIS services programs, policies and procedures.
§ Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.
§ Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
§ Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and other technology resources within the organization.
§ Oversee the back office computer operations of the management information system, including local area networks and wide-area networks.
§ Responsible for the management of multiple information and communications systems and projects, including voice, data, imaging, closed-circuit television and office automation.
§ Design, implement, and evaluate the systems that support end users in the productive use of computer hardware and software.
§ Develops and implements user-training programs.
§ Oversees and evaluates system security, back up procedures and disaster recovery plans.
§ Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
§ Make recommendations to Administration as necessary.
§ Advise senior management on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support of business goals and objectives.
§ Review and approve major contracts for computing and information technology services and equipment. Propose leasing strategies, negotiate and administer lease and rental agreements.
§ Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.
§ Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements.
§ Establish company infrastructure to support and guide individual divisions/departments/sites in computing and information technology efforts.
Must have nursing home experience.
