The leadership program for girls is based on the Girl Scout Leadership Experience model, which allows girls to discover a positive value system and a strong sense of self, connect with others, build healthy relationships, identify meaningful causes, and take action to make the world a better place. We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Council Board of Directors on the strategic business growth and development of the Council. As the CFO, you will have primary accountability for all Council asset and liability management (financial and real estate) and risk management policies, practices, and compliance.

Reporting to the CEO and directly supervising the VP/Controller, you will also oversee several critical contractors to the Council (IT provider, PEO, auditor). To be successful, you should have: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required,; MBA/Master's Degree preferred. CPA is a plus.

10+ years of progressive experience to include: Financial/Accounting Leadership and management experience in an innovative, fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. Significant experience directing and managing the activities of a team, including direct experience in multi-year strategy development and financial modeling. Proficiency with MS Excel and Google Sheets to conduct sophisticated financial analyses.

Your duties as the Chief Financial Officer will include successfully performing the following: Collaborate with CEO and COO to develop and implement long-term growth strategies for the Council. Provide direction to the Vice President/Controller, ensuring integrity of accounting systems and adherence to internal controls. Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly and annual statements.

Manage the annual audit and regulatory compliance, including IRS 990 filings and state requirements. Analyze financial issues, make recommendations to the CEO/Board, and implement changes when necessary. Administer and control treasury functions, supporting the Council Treasurer and managing relationships with banking partners.

Lead the Council Finance Committee, serve as the primary Risk Management Officer, and oversee real estate transactions, leases, and compliance with guidelines.
