With a commitment to excellence and a focus on delivering value to our clients, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team.
About the Opportunity:
The CFO will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of Chellecomm, IMG and Adara Group. They collaborate with the CEO, the Chief of Staff, accounting manager, bookkeepers, and department heads to identify financial needs, and develop financial strategies to ensure overall success through the enterprise. The responsibilities will include:
Supervisory:
- 2 to 5 Direct reports and 5 to 10 indirect reports
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.
- Develop an annual financial plan to grow the enterprise.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
Financial Management:
- Oversee all financial operations and accounting functions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, including SOX
- Ensure the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage financial risks. Implement policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate the company's financial performance and strategy effectively.
- Create and maintain financial reporting such as Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Balance Sheet, P&L Statement, Notes to the Financial Statements, Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), Auditor’s Report, and fulfill other reporting needs in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to ensure consistency and comparability across different companies.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and provide strategic guidance to ensure financial objectives are met.
Company Growth, Mergers and Acquisitions:
- Evaluate potential areas for company growth, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic partnerships.
- Provide financial expertise in due diligence processes.
Other Duties:
- Perform related duties as assigned by CEO or supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as the needs of the business may require.
A successful CFO should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of financial strategies, accounting methodologies, and the financial needs of the business specific to the company's size, industry, and regulatory requirements. They should be able to effectively manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a CFO or in a similar financial leadership role.
- 5+ years of executive-level financial leadership experience.
- 5+ years of proven ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in compensation and employee benefit programs administration.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, finance, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated success in financial strategy development and execution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the Merchant Services or financial technology industry is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully leading financial teams and driving results.
- Demonstrable experience with developing and maintaining financial metrics, KPIs and knowledge of financial systems and databases.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
- The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company. This includes developing financial policies and procedures, managing accounting functions, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The CFO will also play a key role in business development efforts.
