- Execute the synthesis of molecules in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
- Ensure the production of high-quality and consistent compounds.
- Ability to handle large volumes of chemicals safely.
- Experience with basic laboratory techniques such as solvent and sample preparation, pipetting, sample filtration etc.
- Implement and follow a routine chemical synthesis schedule reaching monthly targets.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized laboratory space.
- Experience with aseptic filling techniques is desirable.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to optimize synthesis processes.
- Identify key areas for process improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production.
- Perform rigorous quality control tests on synthesized molecules.
- Document and report any deviations from quality standards.
- Experience working with quality assurance to resolve deviations is a plus.
- Adhere to GMP guidelines and protocols throughout the synthesis process.
- Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines in the manufacturing environment.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and address any equipment malfunctions promptly.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all synthesis processes, including batch records and logbooks.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality control.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss production schedules and process improvements.
- Willingness to embrace versatility and adaptability in a dynamic startup environment is needed.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
- 2+ years experience in peptoid synthesis, particularly in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of GMP regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality results.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical or biotechnology products.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times and work in a chemical laboratory.
