-Manage subordinate team members responsible for food preparation in fine dining restaurant. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

-Be responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

-Ensure guests receive outstanding, consistent, exceptional service by circulating through each dining area. Seek opportunities to improve satisfaction and immediately handles any guest concerns or complaints.

-Monitor SOPs to ensure consistent exceptional food is provided. Ensure all kitchen areas are clean and properly set up. Assist in developing and updating policies and procedures.

We're Excited About YOU Because...

-You have completed an approved Culinary Program or Apprenticeship.

-You have five years increasingly responsible culinary experience, preferably at least two years as a Sous Chef.

-You have strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000. The Meritage Resort & Spa reserves the right to modify or update this range at any time. The actual salary offered will be at the sole discretion of the company and determined by relevant experience, qualifications, and skillset of the final candidate. This role is eligible for health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401k, educational reimbursement, and paid time off, including vacation and sick leave.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to our customers. Your creativity, culinary expertise, and leadership skills will play a crucial role in creating a memorable dining experience.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menus in accordance with customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
- Monitor food production to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes and menu items
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed

```Experience```
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in food service or culinary industry
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary principles
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures
- Bartending experience is a plus
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
