DESCRIPTION:

New restaurant opening in Menlo Park! Traditional Italian cuisine featuring local farmers and produce to create an authentic Italian dining experience with a California neighborhood feel. The Sous Chef will be responsible for providing support in the kitchen during service, upholding and elevating our service standards and providing strong communication with the dining room and private events team. This is a full service restaurant that prides itself on harnessing Italian culture, providing a true neighborhood experience through warm hospitality and generous spirit. Showing love for friends, family and community through food & wine is the heart of our brand and creates a fun and healthy work environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on authentic Italian cuisine, fresh local produce and genuine hospitality
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
• Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health and safety
• Strong communication & organizational skills with precise attention to detail
• Strong team leadership & development skills
• Ability to hold others accountable for following company standards & procedures
• Participation in weekly manager meetings, financial oversight, scheduling and work towards cultivating a healthy team dynamic
• Management experience preferred
