Check Out Receptionist Doctor's Office

We are seeking a Check-Out receptionist to join out team at a busy Pain Management Doctor's Office! The Check-Out Receptionist is responsible for greeting patients as they check-out and offer them friendly and prompt assistance while coordinating patient care. The Check-Out Receptionist will review the provider's orders to determine the necessary treatment plan. At checkout, follow up appointments are scheduled with the patient. In addition, you will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive company success.

Responsibilities:

• Check out patients
• Schedule patient follow up appointments
• Collect outstanding balances, coinsurances, deductibles, copays and self pay balances that are owed at the time of Check Out
• Accurately post payments and provide receipts to patients
• Answer telephone in a warm and friendly manner
• Manages in coming and out going referrals
• Files in coming faxes
• Schedules New Patient appointments
• Knowledge of HIPPA and medical office policies
• Maintain accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information by verifying this information at each patient encounter
• Review all providers schedules for the next day and call those patients scheduled to remind them of appointment; then verify insurance, copays, insurance cards, ID cards etc for next visit to clinic
• Perform all other office tasks

Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of medical office experience REQUIRED
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Must be customer service oriented and prepared to liaise with patients, families and other providers
• Extremely organized and detail oriented
• ​Ability to spend long periods of time sitting at a desk
• Must be dependable. More reliable than spontaneous
• Must be people oriented
• Must have high stress tolerance; thrives in a high pressure environment
• No remote work available for this position
• High school or GED equivalent
