Job purpose
The BorgWarner Arden campus offers two world class technical centers and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that designs and produces turbos, fan, and fan drive components for the automotive industry. The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.
This position will be responsible for providing technical coordination of the Change Management System and provide relevant engineering services to support New Product Introduction and Change Management.
Responsible for the coordination of supplier PPAP submissions from receipt thorough disposition and storage.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, assign and track SCRs to completion. (Supplier Change Request)
- Coordinate the flow of PPAPs in the ZEM module in SAP and other PPAP tracking systems from receipt to disposition by all key stakeholders
- Maintain reporting/databases to communicate the status of PPAP (post-receipt)orders for all programs and customers.
- Facilitate packaging approval process with key stakeholders in plant.
- Maintain storage of dispositioned PPAPs (sample materials), including through rejection cycle as disposition requires.
- Manage flow of PPAP materials through quarantine and through process.
- Coordinate digital storage of Supplier PPAP records
- Communicate PPAP disposition to suppliers.
- Manage interim approval tracking& subsequent approval loops.
- Assist in the coordination/storage of internal PPAP materials as required.
- Change Management SPOC for Arden
- Supports internal operational processes using CMS (Change Management System)
- Chair CMS Priority meetings, tracking priority CMS items for facility to ensure progress to meet objectives.
- Verifies change requests for accuracy and completeness, ensuring internal standards are met & correct process routes are selected.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement most efficient custom routings as required for key changes or groups of changes.
- Conducts regular monitoring and tracking of CMS steps to ensure smooth workflow through implementation.
- Provides CMS documentation, training, and support.
- Provides weekly/monthly analysis, reports and metrics.
- Communicates CMS roadblocks to management level
- Supports the release/revision of internal guidelines/documents in CM1 system
- Local administrator for thermal product ECM's and CM2 implementation.
- Transport material as required using proper handling methods.
- Keep work area in orderly condition with respect to proper materials, tools, equipment, and personal belongings. (Includes cleaning of equipment, floors, tables, etc.)
- Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures.
- Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies.
- Perform other duties as needed.
What we're looking for
- Four year degree in Business or Engineering Technology preferred
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of APQP/PPAP process
- Strong organizational skills required, including prioritization
- Good cross-functional communication skills with team-orientated support
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must have extensive experience in SAP, including Change Management module and ZEM. Key user status experience for SAP preferred.
- Attendance on the job is essential.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.

Physical Requirements
