Job Description:
- Maintain financial records in adherence to accrual accounting principles and in accordance with GAAP.
- Provide oversight for day-to-day responsibilities, including overseeing month-end closing activities, managing the general ledger, supervising invoice approvals and disbursements, ensuring tax and financing compliance, and overseeing related projects and initiatives.
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Generate internal management reports, such as key metrics dashboards, weekly profit and loss reports, daily cash reports, and other financial communications. Additionally, manage multiple daily and weekly flash reports.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting activities.
- Assist with treasury functions, which involve overseeing banking relationships, managing cash flows, and processing check payments.
- Actively participate in the organization's business and strategic planning.
- Assess, recommend, and implement initiatives and departmental restructuring to enhance processes and efficiencies within the accounting function, preparing for business expansion.
- Oversee the accounting and financial systems of the division, including Acumatica and NetSuite.
- Collaborate with external CPA firms for income tax preparation and manage internal or third-party audits.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA preferred but not required
- Prior experience in implementing or working with data analysis systems is beneficial
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in monthly close process and reporting
