Responsibilities will include a myriad of duties relating to Accounting, Winery Compliance, Payroll and Benefits such as :
- Execute weekly payroll, using a combination of AgCode and Payroll software.
- Timely completion of paperwork related to employees' payroll, including disability claims, unemployment claims, withholding requests, etc.
- Manage and maintain up-to-date records for every employee change involving garnishments, W-4s, direct deposits, addresses, phone numbers, rate changes, status changes, etc.\
- Accounts Payable processing in Bill.com, vendor record maintenance.
- Assists in inventory management, including both bulk inventory and bottled inventory.
- CA Sales & Use Reporting; monthly prepayments and quarterly filing.
- Direst to Consumer License Maintenance.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance
- Must have solid accounting theory background and ability to apply GAAP
- Must possess at least 3-5 years' experience in Payroll or Accounting
- Must be willing to learn and research new areas of employment law, compliance, etc.
- Wine industry experience is preferred
- QuickBooks experience is a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
