Certified Surgical Technologist - Surgery Center

This position is responsible for, under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed physician, assessing patient’s surgical conditions, administering treatments under physician orders or in conformity with usual practice, assisting physician as directed intra-operatively.

Functions primarily as instrument handler on all types of surgical procedures involving and requiring conformance with specific sterile and aseptic techniques and procedures.

Cares for contaminated instruments and supplies during and after the surgical procedures utilizing appropriate environmental control techniques.

Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology

Certification required

BLS required

1-3 years experience preferred
