We are seeking Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSACs)/Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs)/Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) - Part-time (contractor) to join our team! Successful candidates will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans in an individual or group setting.
Responsibilities:
- (LPCs/LCSWs) Conduct mental health assessments to include diagnoses and recommended course of education and/or treatment
- Counsel and advise individuals or groups with Substance Abuse problems
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans
- Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients
- Prepare assessment reports, progress reports, discharge summaries and letters for relevant parties, as needed
- Educate families and groups on mental health concerns
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or other counseling professionals
Qualifications:
- Must have an Active CSAC, LPC or LCSW, licensed to practice counseling by the Virginia Board of Health Professions and be in good standing
- Previous experience in counseling, social work, or other related fields such as Substance Abuse treatment
- Experience working with mandated clients
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Ability to build rapport with clients and motivate change through use of cognitive behavioral model and evidence-based practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
