Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Perform basic nursing procedures, such as wound care and catheterization
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe patient environment
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment (GA)
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, such as a nursing home or medical office
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner) is a plus
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
