Description
We're on the lookout for compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team at the Summit. Primary Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients, including assistance with bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist in Treatment: Assist with various medical procedures and treatments under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and charts, ensuring all information is up-to-date and confidential.
- Patient Support: Offer emotional support and companionship to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Assist with ADLs: Help patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, dressing, and transferring.
- Safety: Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure proper coordination of care.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare rooms for admission
- Change linens and assure patient room is cleaned
- Discard trash and soiled linens at end of shift
- Prepare meals and snacks for patients
Requirements
Nurse Assistant Essential Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR certification is a plus.
- Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to help others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Physical Requirements:
This position is primarily an action position requiring walking, bending, stooping, crawling, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds. At times must lift up to 75 pounds. Potential for long periods of standing. Must have visual acuity and manual dexterity to interface with the computer and other facility operating systems. Must have auditory acuity to effectively interact with patients and public.
Work Schedule:
Regular schedule is based on patient volume and surgical schedule. Schedule is set by the Nursing Management prior to shift's start.
